Virtual photography

This assignment helped me rekindle a few things, it's been a long couple of weeks for me and my family. And as much as I love photography I have not been able to enjoy it the way I usually do or even get to explore through my lenses as much as I would like to. But this assignment helped remind me that I can see beauty anywhere or anytime, and it doesn't always have to be through my own eyes. I plan on traveling to Bali (hopefully as a graduation present) and seeing these images reinforced why I am pushing through school and why I am working as hard as I am. I choose these pictures because they are definitely pictures I would capture, I love skylines and water reflections, and I tend to really like the picture to have a type of balance; the rice fields make amazing patterns. And while some people are attracted to the more popular locations , I have always really enjoyed the beauty found in the rawness of places.  So I would definitely take plenty of photos of the temples and the people.

  1. Wow... I hope you do get to go to Bali! It is so important to travel out of the country in order to see our culture with more perspective, through the eyes of another culture. These images emphasize symmetry and balance. Notice how the lines are parallel to the edges of the frame and how the focal point is placed in the center...
