Hello Everyone, for this assignment I decided to shoot the fence/playground at my job. It was a nice day out which made the photos even better. You can see the geometry in the fence because of all the squares, I also thought this was a good angle to take the photo because of how the fence curves. I also practiced the rule of thirds when shooting. It took a while when editing the photos but I hope to get better. My favorite ones are the black and white ones and I enjoyed using the blur feature on adobe. Thanks everyone!

This one is a bit tricky to pull together because of all of the elements in the shot... you tried to focus the viewer's attention by blurring areas... but that is best done optically, with a real lens. I like the idea of all of the squares in the fence, but then the thin is to continue shooting at a new location... to take a walk and see what else grabs your attention. Perhaps there were interesting possibilities around the building your job is located in...
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I cautioned everyone about is to not include sky in this series as the amount of light in the sky will draw the viewers eye away from your focal point and weaken the composition. You realized that in the last one by cropping it out.
Okay, this is a start... shoot more, put 50 or more pictures in Google Drive then create a sub folder and put your 10 best (and varied) compositions there....
