By The Cove

For this assignment, I took a trip to Wethersfield Cove in Wethersfield, CT. I was gonna go to the Riverfront in East Hartford, CT but decided to check out a new place. The Wethersfield Cove was a really nice location. There were not a lot of people there so it was easy to social distance and still capture the beauty of the scenery. Check it out!

  1. I was hoping you would show more close up observations of reflections, textures, etc... I wrote in the syllabus,

" You are to visit the beach, and look carefully at form, light, composition and line. Examine tidal pools, rock formations and sand patterns with the curiosity and freshness of a young child, say a toddler. Move in close, fill the frame..Submit your best 6-10 images on the blog. (Links in academic expectations below). Post a minimum of 50 in Google Drive. If you live well inland and would prefer to visit a waterfall or brook with moving water, that would work too.

A walk by a stream or pond will work for this assignment will work as well for this assignment. The main idea is to get outside and into nature... look at reflections and movement in the water."

The 2nd one Does that but the flare of light in the lower left needs to be darkened so that your eye can stay with the stick and plaant growth in the center.

#7 has nice design. The angles of the dock and floating boats as well as tilting the camera down are great choices. I would darken the dock a bit to give more emphasis to the boats...

These are all quite small... did you email yourself the pictures? Ofen times that results int he file size of the image getting cut way down, resulting in small images that lack the detail your camera originally gave you.
