Just Me

 

Good evening everyone, 

My name is Krystal, Krystal with a K. I am currently a senior at Albertus Magnus, I will be receiving my degree in Psychology in May. It has been a long but astounding journey, filled with both mental and emotional growth. I am currently a case manager, and work with individuals who are recovering from mental illness and/or substance abuse, and are trying to rebuild their lives and migrate back into the community. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years, and I love what I do. It has been a huge influence in my decision to study psychology, and become a therapist. I am not sure of what exact concentration I would like to study, however I know my purpose is to help all those that I can. I hope that this class will allow me to open my mind and further develop my creativity, so that I can use my art and my writing to further inspire people. I will be using my iPhoneXR mostly to take pictures, along with my Mac and adobe photoshop to edit them. However, I hope to be able to purchase a camera before the class is out. I am a little familiar with editing pictures, however due to school, family and my job I do not get as much practice as I would like. I look forward to this class changing that. 

Ps. I chose this picture because I feel it represents me, in a world that would attempt to make us only black or white, I continue to stand out and live in a full range of colors.
